About this mod.

This is the MPV80 (multi purpose vessel). It's the first biggish ship in BeamNG.drive. So it's kinda experimental and that's why I don't put a high price tag on it although I have worked many months on it. Most of the time I am pleased with the water and pressured body physics of BeamNG.drive although it can get messy if object is very small or deformed heavily.

Specifications:

Lenght: 80m Width: 20m

Weight: about 3700-3900 tons, depends of the configuration.

Speed: 32 kmph (around 115 kmph for Extreme Tug).

Crane: 100t safe lifting capacity.

Room for development:

Custom engine controller could be made to get rid of the unrealisticly high rpm, although i'm not shure if it's possible - there's going to be serious slipping in power transfer to the propellers with lower rpm.

Sinking:

This ship is not sinkable with collisions. Sinking with collision would be too unrealistic - It would sink like a rock if only 1 hull beam brakes. That's the physics of pressured bodies. There is a special command to sink the ship - it will break one of the hull beams.

Spawning:

I's not spawning at the right water level and will probably spawn to the bottom of the sea like a car would. It was fixed in some version of the game after the floating cars arrived by the development team - but at the next update the spawning issue came back. If you are located above the deep water - It will spawn to the camera location. To avoid water pressure implosion or too high fall - the game should be paused before spawning and World Editor used.

Node count:

This ship with crane, ramp and helipad is almost at maximum node count of 4000 nodes per vehicle. So I cannot add anything else. They can only be separate props. The damage model detail is as good as it gets with this limit. Watch the videoclips for collisions.

Inside:

The ship hull is hollow inside - I refrained from making any engine blocks - they would be under water.

Node linking:

Node linking seems to be not working correctly with many linkable nodes. So only the heavy duty bollard, crane and davit has a link node.

Custom flag making:

To make a custom flag - there is a flags folder under materials, inside the zip file. Search for a template.png - you can draw anything on it. Don't change the name.

System requirements:

I'm running this mod with GTX1070 and i7-4790 just fine. If you can run 4-5 regular cars without issues, you'll be fine too.
